Wessex MUSIC

Wessex Music is a charity which aims to enhance the musical education of young people in Dorchester and beyond.  Wessex Music coordinates instrumental lessons and provides support for schools across the Dorchester Area Schools' Partnership pyramid.  It also provides a range of musical ensembles open to all young people in the local area.

Instrumental Lessons

These are available to pupils in Years 2 onwards. Parents work directly with Wessex music to organise these lessons that are then taught in school hours. Please ask the school office if you would like any further information on DASP Music instrumental lessons or else visit the DASP music website for further details.

Musical Ensembles

There are a range of musical ensembles that meet weekly and are open to pupils in the Wessex area.

The Wessex Music ensembles operate for approximately ten weeks every term.  The dates of the sessions are published in advance of the start of each term.
