Safeguarding
Frome Valley CE First School takes a child centred and coordinated approach to safeguarding. All schools and their staff are an important part of the wider safeguarding system for children. This system is described in statutory guidance: Working together to Safeguard Children.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. This means that staff should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child. At Frome Valley First School, we take safeguarding very seriously, from recruitment to induction to regular training.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed on this page. Other polices can be viewed under the key information section of this website.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.
On this page, you will find information about safeguarding in our school as well as useful information and websites for parents.
